CFL Buyer’s Guide
1. First compare the incandescent bulb wattage to the replacement fluorescent wattage:
| Incandescent | Fluorescent |
| 60 watt | 13 watt |
| 75 watt | 20 watt |
| 100 watt | 26 watt |
2. Then choose a “color” of light. The WARM color is closest to incandescent light:
| Color | CCT – Kelvin Temperature |
| WARM | 2700K – 3000K |
| COOL | 3500K-4100K |
3. Finally find the highest LUMENS. LUMENS are the amount of light the bulb produces. More LUMENS per watt means a brighter more efficient bulb. Look around, LUMENS vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Steer clear of bulbs that don’t give you this information.
Note: Fluorescent bulbs take a moment to reach full brightness
